Firefighters extinguish house fire

We have extinguished a house fire in Stanton, near Ashbourne.

Crews went to a home near Sallyfield Lane just before 7.45pm on Saturday (1 June) after a fire started in a bedroom at the home.

Main jets were used to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters made sure everyone was accounted for and no-one was injured.

Following an inspection, the cause of the fire was later deemed accidental.
