Firefighters extinguish large grassland fire

Firefighters have extinguished a large fire on grassland in Stoke-on-Trent. 

We were called at 1.40pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 8 April) to Park Hall Country Park, Hulme Road, Park Hall, following reports of a fire.

Four appliances attended the scene and found a fire covering a large amount of gorse, trees and grassland.

Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire by around 2.40pm.

Nobody was injured.

An inspection into the cause of the fire is underway.
