Firefighters extinguish pavilion fire at park

Fire crews have successfully extinguished a pavilion fire at a park in Stoke-on-Trent.  

Crews from Burslem, Hanley and Sandyford along with Staffordshire Police attended a park on Navigation Street, Middleport, just after 11pm on Monday (12 June).

When we arrived, the pavilion was well alight.

Hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire, which shortly after was deemed to be caused deliberately.

Crews left the scene just after 12.30am on Tuesday (13 June).

The incident has been left with police.
