Firefighters tackle collapsed chimney

We have safely removed debris from the roof of a home in Stoke-on-Trent after a chimney partially collapsed.

Crews went to the address on Collinson Road, Goldenhill, just before 10.50pm, on Friday (3 January).

They used our aerial ladder platform (ALP) to access the area 10 metres up and remove loose bricks and other debris from the damaged chimney stack.

No-one was reported injured.

Crews made the area was safe before leaving at around 1.30am on Sunday (4 January).

A building inspector and gas engineer also attended the scene.
