Five crews tackle business fire

Five crews dealt with a fire inside a business premises in Tamworth yesterday (Friday 7 October).

At approximately 5pm, we received reports of smoke and flames were emitting from a building near Comberford Road.

Crews from Tamworth, Lichfield, Burton and Tamworth Mercia were dispatched to the scene and immediately began work to bring the blaze under control.

An additional crew from Sutton Coldfield also attended the scene from West Midlands Fire Service.

Firefighters used hose reel jets and ventilation equipment to extinguish the fire.

No one was injured and crews left the scene around 9pm.

A joint investigation alongside Staffordshire Police is currently ongoing.
