Local community invited to enjoy a brew with our firefighters

We’re inviting local people to enjoy a cup of tea with our firefighters in Leek.
On Saturday 22 March, we are opening our doors at Leek Fire Station between 11am and 2pm to welcome members of the community for a cup of tea in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.
There will be tea, coffee, soft drinks and a selection of cakes available for set donations to the charity.
There will also be a colouring competition for children, complete with prizes for the top three.
Community Engagement Officer, Adam Brunt, said: “It’s been an unbelievable effort from so many people to raise as much money for the charity as we have so far.
“We’re getting really close to our target now and hopefully the money raised on Saturday will get us across the line.”
In the wake of our 50th anniversary celebrations that started in April, we pledged to raise £50,000 for the cause over the next 12-months.
All of the money raised will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity, an organisation that offers bespoke support to serving and retired members of the UK’s fire services.
The charity work tirelessly to support the fire family by helping members to better their physical and mental health, alongside social wellbeing support and nursing.
