Pick-up truck fire extinguished on motorway

We have extinguished a pick-up truck that was on fire on the M6 between Cresswell to Hanchurch this morning (Wednesday 20 November).

Crews were sent to the scene at about 8am following reports of a vehicle fire between junction 14 and junction 15 of the northbound carriageway.

We extinguished the fire by 8.35am and liaised with Highways over recovery of the vehicle.

No-one was reported injured.
