Update on fire in Chorlton

Fire crews remain at the scene of a fire in Chorlton, Newcastle.

Fire fighters were called at 3.48am to a restaurant on Stone Road following reports of fire.

Crews from Loggerheads and Newcastle attended, followed by Burslem and Hanley on-call fire fighters.

Crews also received the aerial platform from Longton.

On arrival, crews found a single-storey restaurant well-alight.

Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose-reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Fire fighters remain at the scene checking for hot-spots.

Officers from Staffordshire Police also remain in attendance.
