Firefighters help to rescue teenage girls stuck in mud

We have helped rescue two teenage girls who were stuck in mud near the River Dove in Tutbury yesterday (Monday 8 April)

Crews went to a grass hill on Bridge Street just after 6.15pm with a rope rescue team after getting reports that the girls had gotten into difficulty.

They were guided to safety using the rope. They suffered minor injuries but didn’t need any hospital treatment.  

We left the scene just before 9.30pm.
